  How to make a standard solution?

  Completely empty the powder into a clean 250ml glass beaker.

  Add 250ml of PH Buffer Powder to the beaker.

  Still until the powder has completely dissolved.

  PH solution accuracy is ±0.01PH.

  Power on→Press the MODEL/CAL button → Adjust to pH mode→Put the electrode into pH4.01 / pH6.86 / pH9.18 standard solution→Press and hold the MODEL/CAL button for several seconds→The value of pH4.01 / pH6.86 / pH9.18 is no longer flashing, and the calibration of pH4.01 / pH6.86 / pH9.18 is completed.

  How to use the pH meter?

  1. Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the unit, and then press MODE/CAL button adjust the tester to pH mode;
  2. Dip the electrode in the target solution, making sure the whole electrode is submerged;
  3. Wait a few seconds for the reading to stabilize, and the LCD screen will display both temperature and PH value.
  4. Dry the electrode with a cloth after use.

Digital pH Meter housed in a beautiful ABS Plastic Cabinet operates on 9V battery. It measures pH value of any solution with the help of pH electrode. Its operation is very simple. Set the temperature knob to the solution temperature & dip the combination pH electrode in the solution. The display will read actual pH value of the solution.

The pH electrode supplied with the instrument is factory calibrated so instrument is ready to take measurements of any solution as under:

1. Connect the combination pH electrode to the instrument input.
2. Dip the pH electrode in solution under test.
3. Set the temp.knob to the solution temp.
4. Switch on the instrument.
5. Read the pH value on display.

In general no calibration is required. In case a new pH Electrode is to be used or for occasional verification the instrument may be calibrated as under :-

1. Prepare standard buffer solution (7 pH & 4 pH) with buffer tablets by dissolving in 100 ml.of distilled water separately. Set the temp. knob to the buffer solution temp.
2. Dip the electrode in 7 pH solution.
3. Set the display value to 7.00 pH by burning CAL screw in the battery compartment with a small screw driver.
4. Dip the electrode in 4 pH sol solution after washing with distilled water.
5. Set the display value to 4.00 pH by turning SLOPE screw in battery compartment with a small screw driver.
6. Reset steps 2 or 3 times.

The ph Meter tester features a large multi level LCD which displays both pH and temperature readings simultaneously. The pH readings are displayed with a 0.1 pH resolution and with an accuracy of ±0.1 ph. The pH range of the HI98107 is from 0.0 to 14.0 ph. An exposed temperature sensor allows for rapid automatic temperature compensated pH measurements. Temperature can be set to display in degree Celsius or degree Fahrenheit. The LCD screen has stability and calibration tag indicators. The battery percent level is displayed at start up alerting the user to the remaining battery power that is available. The pH electrode uses a unique reference cell design that utilizes an extractable cloth junction. A clogged junction will typically exhibit erratic readings that will not stabilize. Simply extracting a small portion of cloth from the meter will clear any clog by exposing a fresh, clean surface. The ability to clear any clogging will extend the life of the pH electrode. Calibration is performed by pressing the dedicated calibration button. Once in calibration mode the pH electrode can be calibrated to 1 or 2 points using the pre-programmed standard buffers (pH 4.01, 7.01,10.01). When the standard value is recognized and stability is reached, the meter automatically accepts and stores the calibration value. Setup options include automatic shut off timing and temperature unit displayed. Automatic shut-off options are to turn the meter off after 8 minutes, 60 minutes or disabled. To enter the setup mode the user presses a button located in the battery compartment.
